The Pirk-Q-Later is an unusual design, unique and strange. A fuzz that strays from a path well beaten. We chose to use the “Albini” mods and came up with a few of our own.

The MMK Electrics Pirk-Q-Later uses NOS 2N404 Germanium & Fairchild 2N3565 transistors. We have chosen BAT41 diodes and have added a clipping blend capability which allows one to fine tune from crazy bee swarming fuzz to a heavy fuzz which sustains for days.

Harm:

Control input gain to the front of the circuit. Full clock wise for no restriction of signal input. Rolling counter will calm the fuzz to a warm fuzz or overdriven sonic.

Clip:

Our unique addition to this classic circuit is the Clip control. Full clock wise will place the diodes in the circuit providing a treble buzzing swarm of bees fuzz. Counter clock the Clip to remove the diodes from the circuit to taste. Removing the diodes will produce more volume on a rounded full bodied fuzz not found in the original circuit.

Level:

A standard volume control on the output of the circuit towards the next pedal in your chain or to an amplifier.
