Two Knobs, two transistors, two footswitches. An easy to use analog fuzz with cleanup function come together to give you classic fuzz and cleaned up fuzz tones at a footswitch click.
Pavlof Fuzz is available in two circuit topologies:
- Darlington Electra – This Darlington circuit has a fuzztortion characteristic. Treble boost character to full bodied fuzz. Cleans up to overdrive and trebly boost tones.
- Silicon Fuzz Face – A usable fixed fuzz and bias, like having the “fuzz” control on your fuzz face slightly dialed back. Circuit cleans up to that classic glassed smooth bluesy tone.
There are three main parts to each of these circuits:
- Bourns Audio transformer, high pass filter, and an internal thumb adjustable trimmer.
- Fixed fuzz circuit built with Fairchild 2N2222A transistors.
- A 2db op-amp stage to make up volume on cleanup volume engagement.
Controls
- Amplitude: A master volume control.
- Frequency: A four position selector switch giving you the choice of expressing highs, mids, or lows on your guitar or bass.
- Internal Trim: Sets your desired clean up. A set it and forget it function. Engage the function with the “Cleanup” footswitch. The Cleanup function will not affect your pedal chain engaged and in bypass.

I saw pavlov of fuzz on the buddy blues YouTube channel and it sounded great but every other fuzz i tried i just never got the glassy cleanup i was looking for but this particular fuzz face with the cleanup actually in the circuit sounds amazing. Hit the cleanup on the pedal and turn down the volume on your guitar and its so dynamic and touch responsive to your playing. I had a question about the pedal and jordan got back to me the same day

Wow, finally the perfect fuzz that works with my plexi ( eob/med gain)and stacks great with my lightspeed. Vol feature along with my vol knob and vol pedal gives me every tone I need!! Very quiet and no feedback once dialed in. So glad I found it!!!

I purchased the Darlington variant maybe a week and a half ago, and i can confidently say it’s one of the finest fuzz pedals I’ve ever plugged into. This phrase gets thrown around a lot, but it’s built like a friggin tank. No joke. The smooth, rich, and consistent tone is remarkable and the clean up switch delivers the juuuuiciest overdrive sound. Not to mention the volume roll off from the guitar delivers the sweet almost glassy blues tone that so many desire.
Aside from the direct purchase from MMK, i was fortunate enough to find a limited edition version in the custom wooden box on reverb. Mint condition with all of the box candy and swag that originally came with it.
I must say, the limited edition with the teledyne transistors is a creamier tone and has its own personality that i find absolutely beautiful. One is not better than other, just different flavors and both are extremely useful and desirable.

I currently have the Silicon Fuzz Face variant of the Pavlof Fuzz.
With the 4 position frequency knob on the left, and the cleanup footswitch you can realistically have 8 tonal options.
This pedal is one of, if not the best work Jordan has done to date. Which is saying a lot, because all of his pedals in the lineup are really great sounding, high quality products.
